Bullying & Harassment Policy
Bullying and harassment are not acceptable or tolerated at Bowen Island Gymnastics Club. All coaches, employees, and athletes will be treated in a fair and respectful manner.
Who this applies to
This policy applies to all BIGC members. It covers interpersonal and electronic communications, including email, texting, and social media.
Members must not engage in bullying or harassment, must report it if they observe or experience it, and must follow this policy. No member will be criticized or penalized for reporting in good faith.
How to report
Report incidents verbally or in writing to the Harassment Officer as soon as possible. If the complaint involves the Harassment Officer, report it to a designated board member or the board president.
Include names of people involved, witnesses, where and when events occurred, and what was said or done. Attach supporting documents when you can. Investigations are handled promptly, fairly, and confidentially.
